I have always seemed to have loved rocks and rock formations. Using arbitrary colors, I painted this seascape from my imagination. On the east coast, where I grew up, we had beaches with no rocks. The sand was fine and easy on the barefoot. As coastlines changed with shifting tides and storms, an effort to preserve the beaches was made by bringing large rocks from New England to form jetties jutting out into the ocean. This scene, however, may have evoked more the west coastline. With many trips to the Washington, Oregon and California coasts, I had memories of rock that naturally occurred along those beaches.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
