Winter Mood

This small watercolor is more about the mood than painting from a photograph. Winter days can be clear, sunny and also very cold. The overcast days are much warmer and promise the possibility of snow. Many live for winter recreation, others stay homebound and may be thinking that the season of short days of winter is too long but are consoled by the idea that more snow means less chance of forest fires later on.
