This was morning and the air was cool and fresh.
In the volcanic area east of Boise, I painted this horse grazing in a field. There was a small stream running through the landscape that gave the aridity of this scene a fresh greenness.
The peach colored rocky cliffs give a nice contrast in color to the pasture and sage.
