We have a favorite drive along the back roads of Whitehall heading towards Waterloo. The Jefferson River runs through this valley. There is a precipice that gives you a great river view, although precarious. Very near this spot is a very popular “hot” spot in the water where we have seen bathers regularly on New Year’s Day.
