Haybales are a ubiquitous subject in the rural landscape of the west. Spring and summer are occupied with planting, watering, cutting and baling. All of this is done, and in this scene, it is now fall. Depending on the crop success or failure, the price of hay can vastly fluctuate from year to year or region.
