Taking Flight

On nature trips during trips to the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, we’d see gigantic leaves and plants during the long summer days. I no longer remember what plant this is, but in the lower states, it would be much smaller. In the brief season of summer, every plant seems to be in a race for the sunlight. With these leaf shapes, I felt that they wanted to “take flight”.
