The Pickle Merchant

Traveling with my long-time friend, Katie, we explored many aspects of Kyoto that would not be on anyone’s tourist agenda. She knows Japanese language and culture intimately. We came across this “pickle merchant” in an underground marketplace. I could not imagine the array of fruit and vegetable pickled items that he had to offer in every color.
