Fields Below Venasque

This small field sketch was done from the walls above the vineyards in the old walled village of Venasque, located between the Luberon and the Vaucluse Valleys in Provence. A small group of us stayed in a house there and were delighted with the views, the two magnificent restaurants only steps away from our maison, and the patisserie that was far too close for us to ignore and  indulge in an array of almond croissants and other delights, with our morning cafe on “our” terrace.
